Owner Drew Burmeister is an ASE-Certified Master Technician with over 15 years of industry experience. After working at a large dealership for several years, Drew sought a better outlet for his services that would allow him to work directly with his customers. This desire and inspiration turned into Pit Shop Auto Repair, which opened in 2010. His mission at Pit Shop Auto Repair is to provide exceptional, dealership quality services and warranties without the high prices. About Drew

Machines just make sense to Drew Burmeister, owner of Pit Shop Auto Repair. And luckily, he’s had the chance to work with them all his life.
But he hasn’t always owned an auto repair shop. For the better part of a decade, he was an aircraft technician for Comair, Midwest Express, and Delta Airlines.
Originally from Illinois, Drew studied Aviation Maintenance at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University before taking his first aircraft technician job in 1995. He stayed in the industry until 2004, when the ripple effects of 9/11 eventually led Drew to part ways with the airline industry.
Returning to his home state of Illinois, Drew almost immediately began attending the Lincoln Technical Institute for Automotive Repair. Using his previous airline experience as a base, Drew catapulted through the program and became an ASE-Certified Master technician before graduating.
Drew worked as a used car technician while going to school, which led to an internship at a local Acura dealer in December of 2004, where he became an Acura-Certified Master Technician in a year. He used the next few years to fine-tune his craft and left the dealership in 2009 to pursue his own ambitions. In 2010, Drew opened Pit Shop Auto Repair in Libertyville.
Drew attributes his hard-working, never-say-die attitude to his luck at being handy with machines and desire to be a good provider for his wife and two children.

Though Ben Pageau, the ASE-Certified technician at Pit Shop Auto Repair, originally hails from Quebec, he attended high school in Grayslake, IL. It was here where he realized his desire to work with automobiles.
After graduating high school, Ben attended the Universal Technical Institute where he studied Automotive Diesel Repair. Now an ASE-Certified technician, Ben is owner Drew Burmeister’s right-hand man at Pit Shop Auto Repair. With professional experience working with Audi, Volkswagen, BMW, and Porsche vehicles, Ben is an important piece of the day-to-day operations at Pit Shop Auto Repair.
We service all models of imports, domestics, Volkswagen, and Audi vehicles, specializing in Honda and Acura.
